The Global Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (STI Forum) is a United Nations platform that brings together global leaders, innovators, and changemakers to accelerate solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2018, our CEO, Santosh Poudel proudly represented Nepal at the UN Headquarters, presenting our pioneering work in healthcare waste management. He showcased the City Based Common Hospital Waste Treatment Facility, an innovation designed to tackle one of Nepal’s critical healthcare challenges.
Installing individual treatment units in small healthcare facilities often demands high capital investment and complex management. Waste Service Pvt. Ltd. developed a cost-effective, eco-friendly solution by introducing non-burn, city-based common treatment facilities. This approach is practicable and not only protects public health and the environment but also serves as a benchmark for enforcing healthcare waste management regulations nationwide.
